Dogging

Providing participants with the base skills and knowledge to undertake Dogging activities at work in accordance with Safe Work (Tas) and Australia’s national Standard for Licensing Person Performing High Risk Work.

Basic Rigging

Providing participants with the base skills and knowledge to undertake Basic Rigging activities at work in accordance with Safe Work (Tas) and Australia’s National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Licence to Operate Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform

Providing the learner with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Boom-Type Elevated Work Platform Operation in accordance with Safe Work (Tas) and Australia’s National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Licence to Operate Forklift Truck

Providing learners with the skills and knowledge to undertake activities related to Forklift Operation. Training is conducted in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Regulations (Tas) 2012 and Safe Work Australia’s National Assessment Instruments for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.

Advanced Load Restraint

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge required to load and unload goods and cargo in accordance with Blue Scope Steels Procedures, including loading and unloading goods, securing and protecting the load and completing all required documentation.

Duration: 1 day.

Stop The Bleed - Tactical First Aid

Do your personnel have the training and tools needed to save themselves, fellow first responders, or the public that have sustained traumatic life-threatening injuries?

SGC Safety has developed training in tactical first aid using the Stop The Bleed program that provides you with the skills needed to combat preventable causes of traumatic death.

First Aid - Mental Health

This course covers common workplace mental health emergencies and is based on current best practice. It includes signs and symptoms of declining mental health and the causes associated within your workplace. Designed to promote kindness and compassion amongst peers and colleagues.

Health and Safety Representative (HSR)

The Health and Safety Representative (HSR) training is designed for elected HSRs and Deputy HSRs who have requested approved training to gain a greater understanding of the management of the Work Health and Safety Act (2012) and its application to their role as an HSR.

  • WHS legislative framework;
  • Consultation, representation and participation;
  • Issue resolution, support for HSRs and managing risks;
  • Workplace inspections, notifiable incidents and incident investigation;
